The Sun is the Tarot’s ultimate “Yes.” It signifies triumph, energy, and deep personal fulfillment. You have emerged from the uncertainty of The Moon into perfect clarity.
This card represents a state of consciousness where doubt burns away. It is not just good luck; it is rightful success and the ability to see the world with wonder and gratitude.

Even reversed, The Sun is positive. It suggests that happiness is present but obscured by temporary clouds. You may be struggling to see the light that is right there.
Temporary difficulties
Joy is delayed but not denied. You may be tired or burned out. Rest is needed to restore your light.
False optimism
Pretending to be happy when you are not. Toxic positivity. Trying too hard to impress others instead of being real.
Ego challenges
Arrogance or conceit. Needing to be the center of attention. Or, conversely, struggling to believe in yourself despite your talents.
Inner child wounds
Ignoring your needs for play and simplicity. Taking life too seriously. You need to reconnect with simple pleasures.

The wall behind them represents safety—paradise is a protected garden. The sunflowers turn their heads toward the child rather than the sun, showing all of nature leaning toward new life.
