Introduction
The Knight of Wands represents energy in motion. Unlike the Page, who dreams, the Knight acts. He is charming, daring, and sometimes reckless. He brings a surge of adrenaline to any situation.
This card signifies travel, movement, and the pursuit of a goal with single-minded intensity. It warns, however, that fire burns bright but fast—ensure you have the stamina to finish what you start.

Follow the impulse, but control the inconsistency so that the goal does not slip away.

Departure, absence, flight, emigration. A dark young man, friendly. Change of residence.

Reversed, the Knight of Wands is a “loose cannon.” The energy is scattered or destructive. It can represent a person who is aggressive, unreliable, or simply trying to move too fast and crashing.
Burnout
Running on fumes. You have pushed too hard and now you are crashing.
Unreliability
Making big promises and delivering nothing. Flaking on plans.
Aggression
A short temper. Picking fights for no reason. Road rage.
Frustration
You want to move, but you are blocked. The energy turns inward and becomes anxiety.

The classic scene
A knight rides a rearing horse through the desert. His tunic is covered in salamanders, flame-like plumes stream from his helmet, and his wand sprouts leaves. The horse looks wild, perhaps even frightened, but the knight rides with confidence.
